I’m surprisingly happy with how it’s turned out so far, but also terrified to add a few more watercolour layers. Which I think is needed in some places.. (before I add pencil) 062

Anouk @anoukvdm.bsky.social · 03/05/2025It really is quite a challenge to pick all the colours. It’s much easier to use oil pastels and then mix colours on the paper. Definitely a fun challenge to pick a colour and then hope it turns out to be the one I wanted though. 000

Anouk @anoukvdm.bsky.social · 17/03/2025Little sketch. I used khadi paper with one layer of pastel ground on it, but I think I either need to skip the pastel ground or add more layers. It was hard to get rid of all the white background where it didn’t work. Maybe I should’ve added a bit of colour to the pastel ground before adding it 🤔🤔 161

And I also use a watercolor paper with pastel ground on top of it this time. Pastelmat definitely works better, but is also so much more expensive! 080
