A new PEN America report, “Banned in the USA: The Mounting Pressure to Censor,” documents a 33% increase in book bans in 2022-23 compared to 2021-22. Books about race & LGBTQ+ identity remain the top targets. You do realize that it's only a matter of time until they target our literature? Right?
