Make some noise. Share this post. 🚨 The Israeli government has granted itself another means to dehumanise, suppress, and kill Palestinians. Israel is violating international law.
The image says, "PRISON SENTENCE FOR ISRAELIS, DEATH SENTENCE FOR PALESTINIANS." It also says, "Israel's death penalty bill is a reminder: this is illegal occupation, functioning as intended," with the OXFAM logo below.

I welcome the UK Government’s commitment to recognise the State of Palestine, but it shouldn’t be subject to conditions. It must be unequivocal, irreversible and backed by sanctions on Israel. Israel must agree to a ceasefire now and allow more aid into Gaza to stop starvation.

❗ 1 in 6 people referred to food banks in our community are carers. When you're looking after a loved one, you should NEVER have to worry about whether you can afford food and essentials. Our social security system should be there to provide support to carers. 💚 #CarersWeek

FYI: PIP (Personal Independence Payments) is not an out-of-work benefit. It exists to help people pay for the extra costs that come with disability. Cutting disability benefits won’t help people who are already working, and it won’t help people back into work.

🚨 Today’s announcement is alarming. It’s true, our social security system needs an urgent update. But cutting disability benefits is not the way to fix it. Disabled people are already three times more likely to face hunger. Huge cuts risk pushing more people to food banks.

So the government wants more disabled people to work yet suggest paring back Access to Work, a scheme that specifically helps disabled people work in paid employment. The responsibility will be shifted to employers, who will see the cost of support and stop employing disabled people.
