Been using Ecosia search engine since 2018 and DuckDuckGo browser since last year. Neither of which foist AI summaries upon me, collect personal data, or manipulate search results. If you haven’t already switched, Google’s latest aggressive push for AI-generated “information” should compel you to.

Pleased to share that we were awarded a 2026 #NHMRC Ideas grant via @sydney.edu.au to study/ raise awareness of published human #CellLines that may not exist. Article claiming AI-generated art is more sustainable than human made art. The authors acknowledge many methodological limitations but still forget one key thing: humans continue consuming energy (aka living) whether they're writing/drawing or not. Art is a surplus to life, not a deficit.
