Just had a reminder pop up for a ceramics class I booked months ago & had forgotten about is happening tomorrow. I am exhausted & have work to do, & an injured hand. I really need to get my big girl pants on & work today so I can go & make mud pies tomorrow. This feels important.

Robert Jenrick confronts a 'shoplifter' and tells her she should go to prison In 2020 Robert Jenrick broke the rules and tried to rush through planning permission to save a billionaire donor £40,000,000 and cost you £40m. How long does Jenrick think Jenrick should get for that?

#SundayPixSolitude had to wade out to sea to get some...
Rolling waves, low light, & dramatic clouds. A streak of blue sky is visible stretching diagonally upwards from the horizon on the left, into the sun.

Sunday Pixies - it’s Saturday here and we’re still travelling with Antipodean WiFi so I’m posting an early theme. #SundayPix this week is #SundayPixSolitude So if you find you’re on a planet in a big universe, or an empty beach or the only lady on a teapot, show us what solitude means to you.

It’s very simple. A reality TV host became dictator because he turned down a role for Sharknado 4 and that’s why the king of outer space, who cheats at Diablo, got to kill Africa. Now the economy is controlled by a sex cult that has something to do with Harry Potter fanfic because of robots.

#SundayPixAutumn not yet sunday here but I also refuse to accept that it's autumn, so early all round
Three spiky, green, sweet chestnut cases lie on the muddy ground, partially open so we can glimpse the shiny brown chestnuts inside. A few gold and brown chestnut leaves have also fallen.

Advance warning of tomorrow's #SundayPix, Sundaypixies, it's #SundayPixStretch. Here's a stretch of the River Thames.
The River Thames, somewhere between Marlow and Windsor. Grey river under grey sky, the far bank edged with trees and moored boats. This bank is more grassy with low-rising plants. Two mute swans are floating on the river in the foreground.

#SundayPixSunset on the Lleyn Peninsula this week
View of the sunset from the sand dunes. The sun has dropped beneath the horizon, leaving the sky in shades of peach, fading to blue. The hills in the background and grass in the foreground are silhouetted, while the sea glimpsed through the dunes is silvery in the low light. Sunset over the sea - The sun has dropped beneath the horizon atvthe right hand side of the frame, leaving the sky in shades of peach, fading to blue above and darkness to the left. The headland in the background is silhouetted in black, while the sea beyond the dark beach reflects the colours of the sky.Sunset at the beach with the golden sun just above the horizon, flaring into rays which stretch over the frame. The beach & headland are dark, while the sea reflects the brightness of the sun at the left of the frame ans the gentler golden hour colours beyond this.

Hi #SundayPix pixies. This weeks theme is #SundayPixMagic So all things you find magical. Here is a tribute to Florence, Zebedee, Dougal, Brian, Dylan and Ermintrude - Swindon's very own magic roundabout. See what you can conjure up for when the clock strikes midnight and let the magic begin.
It's a kind of magic.

Swindon's "magic roundabout" road junction - 5 mini-roundabouts rotating clockwise connected by a pentagon of roads. To navigate it you need a degree in transcendental geometry and fourth-dimensional topologies.

Then & now. 13 years between the photos. #HowTimeFlies
A woman with dark, long hair, wearing a graduation gown and hood, hugs a little girl wearing her mortal board, print dress & cream cardigan. Both are smiling big smiles at the camera. The woman (me) holds a piece of paper. Other graduands are visible wearing blue hoods with gold trim in the background. It's a sunny day.The two women from the previous photo stand with arms around each other. The older woman (me, mum), wears a blue linen dress with a scattered print of tiny dark blue birds & dark grey pearls. The younger woman (Alice) wears a blue lace dress under a black graduation gown and hood with red trim, as well as a mortar board. She has bobbed, light brown hair & a huge smile.
