Tabletop RPG books are not overpriced. They are specialty technical creative writing social interaction manuals. At double the current prices, they would not be overpriced. This is why most TTRPG creators leave the industry. Along with constant fan harassment. #RealGameIndustry

I'm working through Goldie Chan's Personal Branding for Introverts, and so far, this book is pretty hecking good. Definitely helps in overcoming the dread of "tell the group something about yourself. However weird it might feel to write down a mission statement for oneself, it's actually comforting.

Our Finnish-learning group has reached a new record: we had a brunch for an hour and a half and spoke exactly zero Finnish, outside of placing our orders. Sometimes you just have to catch up with friends 😅

Despite my Catholic upbringing, I do not usually follow Pope news. But it's really sending me that someone put his encyclical in an AI detection software, and then decided it's AI generated, because it contains 127 em-dashes. First of all—Alt+0151 is a blessing we will not concede.

Now that the discourse has died down, and my birding has lessened, I want to talk about lists in rpgs. I like what both sides of the debate make. So, like everything else, "good" isn't about which side you choose but how you execute the idea. If you choose to use lists, use them well.

The Kickstarter campaign ended yesterday. Today, I: - finished up the layout for yet-unannounced game we're making - watched 5 hours of ADHD interviews / advice - ate *lots* of freshly baked sourdough bread - did laundry - stared at rain outside - read a book instead of writing one Good day so far

To celebrate little successes ✨, we've just paid off the last outstanding loan - the 15k we had to shell out *years ago* to fix up the outdated heating system in a house we no longer live in. That's all non-mortgage debts paid off, after over 7 years of work. Feels good.
