cutesy little musical introductions to corporate how-to videos can do one. I’m not a child needing entertainment, I just need to change someone’s line manager on the HR system

my dad negotiated with the headteacher at my primary school for me to be allowed to wear trousers, which had previously been against the uniform policy - that was London in 1992

"We appointed FF Studio as our partners...This can’t-be-topped team wore their expertise lightly. They operated thoroughly inside the tent as we’d hoped...They delivered at pace, with high standards and most importantly, any problems were shared problems that we figured out together."

I hope they get great people too but as someone with a really tiny amount of insider knowledge, paying below market rates has hindered them bringing in experienced computer-types in the past (and seems like a pattern for non-computer-types too www.researchprofessionalnews.com/rr-news-uk-c...)

Oh I didn’t read it as pile on, just interpreted your read as genuinely considering it an ethical prioritisation process! soz if caused consternation

Anna Goss @annagoss.co · 17/10/2025
I reckon you're reading way too far into it. Small-ish cohort and departments who want to co-operate = decision made (I don't know for sure, but that's my rough guess). Anything ethical is posthoc rationalisation.

in my fairly average bit of Brighton outskirts, there's about three front dormers going up on our street alone at the mo. I keep wondering what's shifted in the universe that means suddenly everyone has access to tens of thousands of pounds to do this kind of thing, what happened to the cozzie livs?

I got Claude Code to audit my Mac's folder / file structure (because it is a hot mess developed over 20 years). Turns out I hoard copies of Transport all over the place. You never know when you might need it!!
Screenshot of a Mac Terminal with feedback from Claude Code on the folder structure. It says:
Duplicate Content:
 - Fonts: Same font files in Downloads AND Library/Fonts (complete duplication)
  - Archives: Multiple archive folders with overlapping content
  - GDS Transport fonts: Found in 3+ different locations
