okay, very unserious implementation. sometimes it has the remember box, sometimes not. and you can just get around the whole permission by using a web worker. for all chrome's faults, at least its implementation works

real annoying that firefox is only allowing loopback access "temporarily", which results in no change to the PermissionStatus returned by Permissions.query. I wish there were docs about how to get it to show the "remember for this website" box
