people in the ao3 trenches writing 50k+ fanfics for long-dormant fandoms and receiving 20 kudos max are so fucking powerful. that's the kind of energy i wanna be putting out

The year in summation. (If I make the next month at least I can say I survived, though.) #Lackadaisy

A sepia toned, penciled comic depicting childhood versions of Rocky and Freckle from the series Lackadaisy. They are anthropomorphic cats, dressed in oversized, old-fashioned winter clothes, preparing to launch snow at each other with shovels. Freckle attempts a running start, then trips and falls onto his face, dropping his shovelful of snow onto his own head. Rocky follows up by dumping his snow onto Freckle's head too.

I feel like videogames actually do provide a pretty accurate representation of real life right now because a lot of videogames are like “THE WORLD IS ENDING” and then you just collect herbs and pretend nothing is wrong

My phone just auto corrected "trauma dumping" to "trauma dumpling," so I painted this in case anyone would like a visual of my mental state. How's everyone else doing?

A small watercolor painting of a horrified looking cartoon dumpling.

You are allowed to celebrate good things that are happening today: your birthday, a book coming out, new baby, new puppy, seeing your favorite piece of art in person, etc. Joy is the knife that stabs into the heart of despair & apathy. Feel your joys, big & small, & share them widely & loudly.

People who are like "but I can't make art so I need AI to make art" don't actually want to *make* art, they just want art with as little effort and cost as possible. EVERYONE can make art. If the art you make in your chosen form isn't as good as you want, you have to practice. The end.

Each time I get the faintest whiff of drama involving other ships, I double-down on my drama-free OTP and rarepairs. I am taking my toys and retreating into my cave where only fellow cave dwellers are welcome.

I'm going to broadcast this once again because new people are here now. I have a shared and self curated mute list to filter out A.I. / NFT / Crypto accounts for those who want an improved bsky experience. I investigate them all personally, but if you find someone I missed, you can reply or @ me.
