infinite wealth is sitting at a 4.6 rn. anything less than a perfect 5 stars lowers its average rating. it's gonna be so sad watching the rating inevitably drop :( (like a dragon went from 4.2 to 4.0 in the last year)

The real problem with being Too Online is that eventually you're going to have to be a functional member of society with organizational responsibilities and have to swerve hard in the middle of a sentence so you don't say "skill issue" in a leadership meeting.

Just like a school of sardines, life is better when you stick together — so we made you some Pal/Gal/Valentine’s Day cards to sealebrate your fronds!

A heart-shaped Valentine’s Day card reads “You are a fintastic frond!” and features a leopard shark.

went looking for renku books today. hit eight different bookstores in the city and. nothing. only haiku books. no renga, no haikai. it's all haiku. even all the basho books ONLY focus on the haiku

i feel like i've come off as really harsh on the 5-7-5 syllable rule for haiku. and like sure i still feel on an absolute level, ie in terms of the pure essence of haiku it's not a fit and that the enforcement of it has been detrimental in the long term for it

one of my small dreams in life IS to make a night of writing dangerously happen with a group of people at some point btw

[whimsical tinkly music] @angel-blood.bsky.social · 06/02/2024

i can't help but think sometimes how fun it must have been to be part of those poetry sessions at a blossom viewing. the modern equivalent would be the night of writing dangerously, which i also never went to because british, and i also miss those dearly anyway bc it was such a nice idea

i'm going to die in a 8+ person knife fight that started over whether 5-7-5 is a valid rule for english language haikus or i'm not doing to die at all

000

[whimsical tinkly music] @angel-blood.bsky.social · 04/02/2024

like, haiku isn't just saying random shit with a certain amount of syllables. you can boil my take down to that

000

[whimsical tinkly music] @angel-blood.bsky.social · 04/02/2024

also i feel like my distaste for the syllable rules on verses would be unpopular. i've spoken about it but i hate the 5-7-5 rule for haikus. it doesn't work for english. it really doesn't. sorry guys. it just ends up being an exercise in fiddling with connectors and articles and dampens the spirit
