Slept in too late for The Calling, but I’ll be around the #fabtcg venue this weekend on and off. If you see me, say hi!

My office is on the second story of a high-rise with the closest window looking into a courtyard. Not much sunlight gets in. I just found myself in a meeting on the top floor in a room with a window. Wow, it's amazing how even cloudy skylight can improve my mood so much!

#fabtcg SAGE is pretty fun! Went 7-2 on briar today and came home with the gold!

I’m not sure what perspective it’s failing from… maybe financially, but I haven’t checked. All I know is that as a software engineer, I’m living in a whole different world.

Looks like the lobby to me…

The modern AI revolution is basically the advent of automobiles. 1. Individuals need to figure out how to be better drivers rather than better horses. 2. Gonna do so much harm to the planet There’s no getting away from this. Better learn to drive now!

I've been a Software Engineering Manager for over 4 years. During that time, my code output was minimal. Leveraging modern AI tools to generate code and reviewing that code both gives me a sense of the _fun_ I used to have without the _tedium_ that came with C++ string parsing.

My understanding is that scaling prize pools based on attendance (eg: like Poker does) falls into gambling laws territory.

Pretty sure there are some heroes who really like long chains that may follow with a lava burst if you don’t stop them.

Overall, I over-optimized for the gravy and Oscilio matchups but didn’t run into either. Apparently, I was in a much more pet-decky area rather than one filled with meta grinders specifically. One more try next weekend.

Nothing like sitting through a 4 minute at-temperature steep just for the herbal tea that looked like it might be tasty to actually be gross.

A plane white cup filled with disappointment

As a manager, it's sometimes difficult to make everybody I work with happy, and it's the cases where I can't that spend more time on my mind. Still, hearing from a report that they see me doing well and feel well supported always makes the days a little bit better.

Their cocoa powder is often the only one available in stores, but it's definitely not the best.

I think the best thing that Hershey's chocolate did was associate itself with s'mores in the US. That way, folks like me who wouldn't normally eat it still end up with an occasion to have it as part of _some other thing_.
