Thank you Nick really enjoyed that. Years ago I would watch people on tv walking battlefields and question the value but having walked Jarama, Madrid & the Ebro to name a few, I would have to agree with you that it makes a huge difference as to how you understand the story.

Was able to trace where my Nan lived as a young woman on there, helping her mum with the laundry business that was run out of the side of their home. We tracked it down via the address on a letter she’d written to our grandad who was recovering after being gassed & wounded during WW1.

Back then my boy was playing at one of Luton Town’s development centres, so I always had the sounds on making the journey up. A few CD’s were on repeat in the motor and ‘Favourite Worry’ was one of them 👌

Spent a morning in the company of @alondoninheritance.bsky.social on his walking tour of Limehouse. If you’ve never been on one of David’s walks he has a huge collection of his Dad’s photos which allows you to go back in time and view the area as it was 80, 70yrs ago. Highly recommended.
