My head. Left Colleen off at Falkirk crematorium today, at ten, as the husband of her best friend died of a mahoosive heart attack ten days ago. I was working, so left before the service. As I was 15mph-ing past the beautiful building, woods (covered in squirrels), gardens and lawns...

OMG! Mid last year, my daughter bought me A Record Player. Last Christmas, she bought me the ELO album, 'Out Of The Blue'. I fired up 'Mr. Blue Sky' (natch). Tonight? Analogue and /definitely/ not digital, I'm listening to 'Turn To Stone'. It's a whole world* of difference.

Friday: extreme gardening. Cut down a tree, dug up the roots. Saturday: fitting lights and sorting electrics in a colleague's daughter's house. Pressure washed our bins. And the car. Saturday night: aching, natch. Sunday: a ten-hour shift. First day's work for fourteen days' back-to-back shifts.

Checks rota. I had 13 consecutive shifts before last Sunday (a day off) and am doing 15 consecutive shifts before my next day off. Currently (Thursday) on day #4. If my A-Level in Maths is still working, that's 1 day off in 29. ...Utter. Madness. 😜
