Spent forever trying to hunt down a true first edition of Splinter of the Mind’s Eye, and when I finally found one, I knew I had to send it to Alan Dean Foster to get it signed. Such a special piece of Star Wars history.

Operation “turn the library into a stealth media room” is officially underway. This wall used to be all bookcases. Books have been relocated to their new home. I cut down two BILLYs from Ikea to make the middle boxes, and trimmed down one of the tall bookcase sides to make the new top.

I was fortunate enough to be sent this review copy of Dragons of Fate and it’s ALWAYS fun spending time in Krynn. Not finished yet but early review is: really enjoyable! Definitely recommend.

Is #winebsky a thing yet? Let’s make it one. Opened this delicious bottle of a laranja mecânica (a clockwork orange) today. An orange wine from Portugal, it’s absolutely delicious, viscous without being too heavy, bursting with flavor but still bright and perfect for a hot Texas day.

Tonight’s drink is one of my favorites, the Gold Rush. .75oz honey syrup 1oz lemon juice 2oz bourbon (I used Buffalo Trace tonight) Shake over ice, double-strain and serve with a lemon wheel. Delicious
