This is true about losing leads, of course. But I don’t think we have any evidence that Durant wasn’t fresh at the end of the regular season. He was playing just as well as he did all year.

Who else could he play and still win games? I think that criticism is rather overblown.

The freakout by Reed stans about playing time after one preseason game is just hilarious.

Yes, that’s fair. But it’s also true that for many places where users have to create accounts the downside risk is incredibly low and security isn’t that important to them.

I am really not interested in storing my fingerprints across multiple platforms and hoping that biometric information doesn't get hacked/leaked, not to mention upgrading my current hardware that doesn't even have fingerprint sensors.

People deliberately conflating how good he is individually with the team context and the role he fulfills.

But keeping him would have worsened the dreaded infield overload that some prominent local media seemed so hot and bothered about. 🤣

You do raise an interesting question; what is more sustainable over a small sample; shot making or offensive rebounding? At first blush, I'd think there's more variance in shot making, especially in a 3P-driven league.

Andrew Soukup @andrewsoukup.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
Sure! Making more shots is always good. 😀

Or is the consumer spending increasingly dominated by the top 5-10% and that is distorting the indices?

Ha. I just finished watching Heroes S1 with my daughter. She asked if we should immediately start watching S2 and I reply:”Eh, maybe not right now.” Dropping Hiro into medieval Japan was certainly a choice.

Thanks. I can understand why they’d use that definition but it does seem to underrate the effectiveness of teams that emphasize offensive rebounding if it is relied on as the primary metric in an evaluation. (Not saying you did that in your article)

Varun, does Cleaning the Glass count offensive rebounds as a new possession rather than a continuation of the prior one? Does that explain much of the difference between the overall 7th-best efficiency and CtG’s rating of 19th in the halfcourt?

It's fine to try but the low chance of it being successful (and the likelihood that Trump/Miller will just use other money to do the same thing) is why your 4th point - drag people in for high-profile hearings and expose the hell out of this is actually the best thing for the Dems to do in 2027. IMO

"Those numbers are still sufficient to make Sengun an All-Star, but not the primary option on a contender. Combine that offensive plateau with a minor step back defensively, and Sengun's ceiling looks lower now than it did a year ago"

So, in this scenario, when Disney serves you an ad in the middle of Spider Man FFH, is your screen blacked out for the two and half minutes the ad was supposed to run? Or does the movie continue uninterrupted?

Stop calling this a DC makeover. This is an illegal desecration of our capital and a huge waste of American families’ money. DC is sacred ground, and we shouldn’t minimize the real damage being done.
