Since I saw it early ‘80s, I often think of how in the 1970-movie Colossus: The Forbin Project (& 1966 novel), the supercomputer couldn’t make anyone do anything like build more computers or execute people or launch nukes, until after they built the computer and gave it all the data it demanded.

Finally finished reading the duology of Fever House and The Devil By Name by Keith Rosson. These are two relentless gruesome unputdownable novels about before and after an apocalypse. They grind at emotions of the characters and readers. Take them for a relentless ride!

Finished reading the amazing novelette And Side By Side They Wander by Molly Tanzer, and loved every word. It’s a joyous read, filled with good things: sprawling science fiction, giant fungi, philosophy, robot romance, a daring heist, weird characters, betrayal, and a deep appreciation of art.
