Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Don’t sleep on Dark Matter. S2 has decided it’s doing to tell the stories it wants to tell m, in ways that matter. 010
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I have started to collect game ideas for when I retire and you are all fucked at that point. 060
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 06/10/2026It’d be a roll up of service risks plus downtime from TSI plus complications of various kinds. 010
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 06/10/2026But your feedback tells me I’m still not doing enough stuff to mess with the Sixty Years in Space crew. 110
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yes I’m still working on that part of the game that’s not unique enough to be worth investing the time into yet to learn another set of overly complex rules. 120
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I was talking about the Crewed Rules. But point taken. 110
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I’m thinking of doing something insane which is taking character generation out of the Sixty Years in Space equivalent of the Player’s Handbook. The main reason is that the recruitment program for astronauts is a sieve that only similar shaped pieces get through. 120
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Annoyingly, the correct answer for any rules that I'm having difficulty getting control of in Sixty Years in Space is "put it in the core rule book". The second most annoying answer is "use the rules from the board game". 020
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Figured out how to make Crewed Rules standalone by allowing you to get around the solar system without using rockets. It’s a forehead slapping stupidly obvious solution which I should have implemented years ago instead of trying to abstract it away. Anyway Crewed Rules RE:Cycled coming soon. 120
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026The problem with coming up with a great idea like this before going for a run is I now have the plot, character cast, game mechanics, puzzles, protagonist tragic back story, secret ending and justification for choosing the visual novel art style and form. 020
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Oh god the second half of the game is where your customers sacrifice themselves to fight off the Terran Federation invasion to help you escape 020
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026The running bit is every customer is happy if you give them a good combat build 110
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I know you wanted the PPC grandma but we had these incendiary LRMs lying around out back so I gave you a good price 110

Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026@unormal.bsky.social out there trying to animate polygons while a visual novel is the ultimate mech game form. 130
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Is there a game where the build is the entire thing? Like you’re just hanging around the mech shop blinging up some old hardware for a variety of interesting customers? 230
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026My TTRPG was one of the earliest to license a board game but you won’t like it although you probably know someone who would 030
Andrew Doull @andrewdoull.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I’m a triple threat (have designed and published a video game, board game and TTRPG). I only recommend it if you like losing your audience every time you change medium. 020
