I wonder if people get addicted to home improvement activities? I reckon my neighbours house must be like swiss cheese the amount of drilling that goes on.

There's more rain in the North, we don't get much in the South, very little snow also. It used to rain way more before we caused climate change🙂

Jonathan the giant tortoise, 194, offers up insight into secrets of longevity
DNA analysis of oldest living land animal reveal patterns on genes that appear to protect functioning of mitochondria The ancient quest to extend human lifespan has received a boost after scientists analysed the genetic code of the world’s oldest living land animal, a giant tortoise called Jonathan. The tortoise, which lives in the grounds of Plantation House, the official residence of the governor of Saint Helena in the South Atlantic, is believed to be 194 years old, making him a contemporary of Queen Victoria and Charles Darwin. The drought this year has killed off about 35% of the garden and put even the biggest trees into shock. I plan to collect rainwater during the winter months, hopefully, assuming we get some rain. I've got some IBCs connected to the gutters #gardening

It's an interesting idea, I could imagine doing this, I sort of already do. It's a shame that we're all conditioned to believe that there's only one kind of healthy sleep.

I have the solution to the rogue Artificial Intelligence problem. Pull the plug, by whatever means necessary, on data centres, no brain no bot/swarm. Sure, it'll cause a global meltdown, we survived without this tech before. World leaders can thank me by planting a billion trees.

Crane flies are complete idiots, the cats were going bananas last night chasing these crazy creatures. I feel they should spend their short life doing something other than flying into the light.

#10minutesfromhome #Scape #ClassicMono St Peter's Square Manchester
A mostly black and white photo looking across St Peter's Square Manchester last week.
In the foreground is a puddle that is reflecting Central Library in the distance.
Beyond the puddle everything is softly out of focus with the curved library building and a passing tram part of the shot.
A blurred figure wearing all black can be seen walking across the square.
I have left part of the tram yellow to make the photo arty farty

It seems that many countries have finally got the message regarding renewable energy, and see it as the way forward. You don't need to extract and burn things to create energy. Apparently the U.S. administration missed the memo, because they are working hard doing the exact opposite #climatechange

People in the UK, do you think we really need to go stock up on canned food, bottled water, etc. The supermarkets are selling a lot of these products by the look of it. I can't make up my mind if it's distraction tactics by the government or a real threat.
