I'm back on the banks of the Fraser River in New Westminster BC for another #walkaroundthecity. A few months back I walked the full length of Kingsway. Today, it'll be Douglas Rd/Canada Way - another early settler route. 1876 map showing the "New West & Burrard Inlet Road" as it was then called.

Beach clean-up day at Seymour Bay, Bowen Island. While there were a few curious finds (a flip-flop, a municipal sign and post, and ½ a fiberglass rowboat), the chief culprit was styrofoam. Lots! Ground down by the waves and pushed into the various nooks and crannies along the tidal line...
