One thing I learned about Mod Podge is that it can yellow over time (but possibly that's a long time, like years). I think there are different types of it so maybe not all of them do that.

Some printed things might smear depending on the type of printer you have, at least I've found that with my ink jet. They are usually okay if I let them sit for a few days before I do the collaging. But I'm guessing you probably have a good printer.
