Example of bad and good in quick succession there. Did a lengthy stealth section with an enemy that instakills you that almost immediately stopped being scary and tense and just became a frustrating, slow moving wall between me and meaningful progress.

Silent Hill Townfall gets a hell of a lot right but it's a fairly rubbish game to actually play. Speaks volumes of the strength of the vibe and puzzles that I haven't just sacked it off. Oh I've thrown another bottle to distract the thing away from me, in 2026.

Watching Resident Evil at the weekend got me on a horror kick for the first time in fucking ages. I really don't get the chance to watch movies these days, so it was cool to revisit a classic favourite (The Wailing) and something new-ish I haven't seen that was pretty rad (In A Violent Nature).
