I think maybe the only thing worse than AI written code is AI written code comments/docs. I don't even know how to describe it. It's like those Recipe blogs where there's a massive and meaningless story behind why they chose Maple over Pancake Syrup, and its just... a normal waffle recipe.

I spent weeks refactoring a module that was written largely with AI slop, to something much cleaner and maintainable. While I was on PTO someone went in and maimed it with AI slop, which broke something else and now there's a trail of AI slop in its wake. I'm speechless...

TailTag is a vibecoded mess of an app and accompanying backend.
Everything you have ever uploaded to TailTag, regardless of your public/private visibility, is publicly accessible in full.
A bad actor could, in theory
- Send push notifications to anyone, at any time, as much as they want, with whatever text they want, with delivery receipts.
- See every photo you have ever uploaded, all text you have ever written, any connection you have ever made, any achievements you have ever been granted. Literally any bit of PII data (besides your password).
- Receive live updates for any data on the app, essentially allowing them to see all happenings in full and in real time.
- Map social circles and view catch images which may reveal a suiter and/or player's location.

I've decided that AI, at least for coding, is a lot like a Casino. Sure, people "win" money all the time, but most of those wins are ultimately net negative. Sure, that Jr. Dev fixed a complex issue in 30 mins, but I spent an hour reviewing the spaghetti code, which "worked" but was also wrong.
