dude wings lore for you but back when i broke both my wrists at the same time in third grade i wasn’t allowed to have outdoor recess time. so my aid (since i couldn’t write and stuff i needed one) just sat with me while i played acww above the lunchroom. it was so fucking peak and better than recess

MAYBE i still live in the same house and i doubt we would’ve tossed it. it’s likely buried in the basement somewhere…

i’m surprised it’s not on more lists!! genuinely an outstanding game that does not get enough love imo

peak!! mario sunshine was the first game i remember playing, and my brothers and step dad helped me play/beat it. heartgold has such a special place in my heart. and windwaker only got beat out by twilight princess bc it’s my fav zelda. but 10/10 your list is peak

I DIDNT PUT MYSTERY DUNGEON ON HERE EVERYTHING IS INVALID

yea idk i did love the pokemon games as a kid and platinum almost made the list. but the rangers games just really helped me through some tough times as a kid and i’m still so fond of them

010

splat3 is the only non childhood game simply because it has undoubtedly altered the course of my life in such a major and positive way i did play s1 and s2 and enjoyed them a lot!! but i’d be remiss to not put the game that actually changed me as a person on here

overseer came in 13th place at riptide! despite not practicing nearly as much as we wanted, i'm personally happy with our gameplay and how we did! i'm grateful the boys were willing to run back our lcs team for such a major event @tenorbrella.bsky.social @bouncespl.bsky.social @pitatochu.bsky.social

i plan to get back on the grind and play as much as i can going forward, especially since i am once again applying to grad school this year and hoping to get in for fall '27. should i get in, i know my time playing splat and going to lans will be limited. but until then i'll be as active as i can!

to overseer, thank you guys for taking a chance on me again and for just being good friends. and to the wouce squad i had so much fun hosting y'all and spending nearly all my free time with you guys. there were so many laughs and silly things that just made the weekend unforgettable.

this year was the best i ever placed too. despite coming off a break beforehand, i feel like i played well and put on a show for the people who stopped by to watch. the moonlight and tzs set were by far some of the most fun i've had playing in some time and the crowd and hype only added to that.

to everyone i did see or meet, genuinely it means so much to hear from y'all. this year was by far the busiest i had ever been. i swear there was never a dull moment! it was so nice to be pulled aside for a signature or chat, even if i've lost my voice a bit because of it.

i love all my friends and so many of the people i've met in this community. i adore being a player, i adore the TO and streaming side of things, and i love just meeting so many amazing people, both online and in person.

now that everyone has left the wouse i can finally sit down and make my riptide post! you know every year i think to myself how could the next riptide possibly outdo the experiences i had for that year, and time and time again it always comes true.

My time a Riptide 2026 cannot be described any other way besides incredible. It was almost magical getting to pair so many names with faces this weekend, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend a weekend with so many friends. Ggs, shoutout Overseer, and I’ll see you all soon!

comp splat has honestly made me grow so much as a person and gain so much confidence i never had and i’ll honestly never forget that. but here’s to more years to come! this game and the good people in the community just has me in a chokehold /pos

030

it’s wild to think how far i’ve come both in the community and as an individual over the 4 years splat3 has been around. my first lan ever was riptide ‘23 and i was SO nervous and knew almost no one. i don’t think my past self would recognize me now. both as a person and ofc as a player too

there’s been so many amazing moments this year and god it was honestly insane just how many people wanted to say hi or get a signature or even catch up. i love all my friends and this community so much. and it’s so rewarding to see all the connections i’ve made and positive impacts on people
