4th in baja, really fun comp (stamper wiper triveau bamboo). I'm so wiped, excited to review it tomorrow. We put up a good fight, but I definitely let the team down in some situations. Prolly correlated with me eating shit in X rank the last couple days lol. Still have a lot left to improve on

I've seen so many folks playing Aniimo lately, likely who aren't aware of the GenAI use in the game. Just a PSA that Aniimo DOES indeed include GenAI in both the promotional material and in game.

I've been wanting to try coaching those below S rank for a while, so here is my offer. Please do not reply here if interested, just DM on Discord (it's in my bsky bio). #splatoon #compsplatoon

Offering coaching to one person below S rank (peak) to try out coaching at that level, and to hopefully get them "ready" skill-wise for competitive if they choose to go that route (casual players or those that have no interest in competitive are welcome!). I have 2 years of on-and-off coaching experience, including for players or teams that have won events like From the Ink Up, Low Ink, and more!
-# yes, I have a capture card
-# yes, it's free, unless you'd like to tip me (completely optional and it won't impact the quality of coaching)

Requirements:
- Willing to play the game at least 7+ hours a week
- 17+
- Peak rank is below S

Preferences:
- NA timezones (can do EU right now on some days, it just might be more difficult to schedule)

DM for questions/interest!

Thanks for everything, Splatoon comp scene. 💚

Another year, another Riptide has come and gone. This was my favorite one by a longshot. Riptide has been getting bigger and bigger, and since my first one in 2022, it's beautiful to see how it has evolved. Playing in each tournament with Thembo iHop to Healbook, it feels like I get comfortable with people I interact with and the community as a whole. I'm forever grateful for the opportunities both teams and the people gave me. And GGs to all we faced, especially tink, Dylan and Grape are good people. As for everyone else I usually hang with, they're great friends, and I'll always cherish them. I'm also grateful as the event was a gateway for gaining knowledge as an artist. Each year, especially this year, Riptide becomes a home to many artists, the vendors, the trading card project gave artists an outlet to express themselves. I've met many wonderful and talented people through those activities and hustles at the event. The vibes were fun, but for now I'll focus on what comes next for me...

I heavily waited the days for this event, the tourney too, knowing for since late 2025 that this would be my last tournament. Everytime I do play and compete at LANs it reminds me as to why I'll always love playing, but I cannot compete anymore. The game's state is where the better players will get better and those who understand will follow, as well. I feel like I've been

lacking for a good while, and it has impacted my skill even when I still enjoyed it. My mentality for improvement has always to face atrong players, but I realized the flaw in that is that it can easily stagnant, if I don't stay consistent as a competitor. I'm not a competitor, I just somehow managed to do competitive things. It sounds strange, but I am an artist at heart. I believe it's time to hang up the coat and pursue my creativity and get better with it. I hope to those who enjoy what I make stays with me on my art journey and what I do next in the future...And no, I'm not leaving the community. You'll see me still around, I just won't be grinding. I'll see y'all next year when there's a Riptide 2027.

I'm always grateful for all the people I've met throughout my comp journey, and to this day I'll always think about everyone of y'all. It'll always warm my heart to see players were inspired by me and I hope a majority of them surpass what I did. Keep going y'all and thank you for everything.

Tied 17th / 126. GGs to everyone we played. With the circumstances, I’m happy about how far I and Pool Party have come. It’s invigorating to see just how much more there is to learn, and where we can grow!! >:3

Blue Flare just got a wicked upset at #Riptide2026. With Alphine playing a tourney every day for over a week leading to Riptide, it shows how one of the best things to say as a coach is “practice more.” No amount of planning will make habits as effectively as getting reps in. #compsplatoon

#compsplatoon Unsung heroes at Riptide are the people who offer to hold your phone and record your sets behind you. It’s a small thing to do but really damn kind in that vein, I’m both offering to do this and requesting who’s down and also not playing at the same time as me :3

52 Gal winrate and pickrate by XP (100 XP steps). I put this together because I'm getting tired of ppl blaming 52 for their losses, when in reality it has no impact on 99.9% of players. 52 hate is mostly a mix of selection and confirmation bias, which causes people to overestimate it's impact. 🧵

If you say you’re a competitive player, please fucking act like it. I’m tired of seeing constant doomposting about things that we can’t control, about an unsolved game. Melee hasn’t changed since 2001, chess for centuries. Get over yourself and learn counterplay or change games. #compsplatoon
