now that everyone has left the wouse i can finally sit down and make my riptide post! you know every year i think to myself how could the next riptide possibly outdo the experiences i had for that year, and time and time again it always comes true.

final thoughts. someone i’ve been taking to summarized it very well imo. i did not intend to attack the seeding council. i just wanted so spread some light and get a discussion going about how the community views and handles “practice up” and how that can be gatekeepy currently

130

wings @ancientwings.bsky.social · 12/11/2025

see image for description. didn’t want to separate this into a thread youtu.be/5S08Uk-jG3s

sets and practice environments for all parties. attached was my exact message. the two spearheading the changes and retiering agreed and said they were going to do this. as i'm sure you all know, or those in the server, this is not what happened.

splat is my comfort game and what i decide to spend most of my free time on outside of work (when i’m not touching grass, which i can assure you i do still do)

030

wings @ancientwings.bsky.social · 25/10/2025

it’s a performative show where artists creative personas with like enhanced takes on gender. drag queens (hyper feminine, big wigs with lots of makeup and very feminine clothes/dresses) seem to be a bit more common than drag kings in my experience (pic is us with the queens we saw last night)

110

wings @ancientwings.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

my last remaining stressor turned out to be a nonissue! my dog wren had a large mass on her leg for several months that i swear had gotten bigger recently. was worried it might be cancerous but was thankfully only a cyst very very very thankful i can take a breath now and enjoy life

wings @ancientwings.bsky.social · 06/09/2025

very proud of this game on ftwin today. genuinely felt like i played really well that whole set. it was an obvious 0-3 but the fact that i even made them sweat a little (and make some funny yell callouts) genuinely made my day. feels like i’m hitting a solid point in my skill it’s refreshing

1301

wings @ancientwings.bsky.social · 05/09/2025

wings @ancientwings.bsky.social · 30/08/2025

6 fireball shots in and i can still get a quad on plus players we’re so back (we won’t talk about how we probably could’ve won the game if i didn’t jet, we won anyway so it was worth the clip)

1132

wings @ancientwings.bsky.social · 29/08/2025
