We have good news about the Pixel 11. It still has at least bare minimum support for MTE at a hardware level. We think they removed most of the hardware acceleration from the CPU cache to save money. They ruined the performance so it ended up being fully disabled in firmware. It may still be usable.

Passkeys can be stored just like password hashes! I'm proposing an interoperable $webauthn$v=1$… format, and a Go API that uses these passkey records for authentication. I'm looking for feedback before proposing this as crypto/passkey for Go 1.28!

Opaque, Interoperable Passkey Records (and a Go API)
Passkey records are an interoperable format for WebAuthn credentials, similar to password hash strings. I propose a potential crypto/passkey Go API based on them.

Just gonna use these moments as free promotion going forward.
Chiming in to say as the CEO of Blacksky that not only do we have an independent AT Protocol implementation in Rust ( https://github.com/blacksk..)
Not only do we run a fully independent stack ( https://docs.blacksky.com...)
Not only are we getting paid by other orgs to stand up independent app view servers.
We also received a license from Bluesky for the atproto trademark.
There are no qualms in the ecosystem from people making money, getting users, and providing new experiences about this.
It's not "AT Protocol fans" who aren't taking issue with this. It's business with employees and organizations making a positive impact.
It's easy to criticize if you're not actively shipping

RCS isn't truly an open standard or open ecosystem. It isn't open to anyone making a client working with any carriers which can interoperate with the Apple and Google implementations. Google does device integrity checks which supposedly exist to combat spam without testing it works on GrapheneOS.

The proliferation of this quote is so interesting to me. It's often posted by right wing chuds who use it to defend conventional aesthetic ideas — such as the importance of having a lean, athletic body — but they don't really understand Owens's work. Let's talk about it. 🧵
A quote by Rick Owens. It reads: "Working out is modern couture. No outfit is going to make you look or feel as good as having a fit body. Buy less clothing and go to the gym instead."
