so many retro games which came out in 2025/2026 have a lot of ideas which originated elsewhere, and many of them are better for it devs didn't forget these ideas, it just took a while for some who played those vintage games and don't work in AAA to learn to implement them in a way which makes sense

bring back game manuals which explain the game so you don't have to sit through a tutorial by the end of it you are already bored of the game because the tutorial is a checklist and checklists are just chores and i don't play games bc i enjoy chores someone else told me to do before i can have fun
