Here’s one of my big goobers very very sadly wearing his watermelon to stop from scratching a sore on his face. Caught him in the mirror 🤣🤣

Community I used to live in has a public mug exchange. It’s really wholesome and fun. But I’ve been obsessed with the World’s Best Dad mug there. There is a story behind that mug, and I’d like to know what it is to ease my mind. I made a jokey comment but it’s sitting heavy with me somehow.

Someone posted this photo of their broken PS5 HDMI port on an ask group I’m in and it took everything I had in me not to spend my evening making fun of them for being blind and or ragey.

If the Venn diagram that this sits in the middle of makes you happy or chuckle, you’re my people.

He wants to look out the window. Now is my chance!! …To not take my blanket back. I’m not a monster!

120

Nick @anactualgorilla.ca · 01/10/2026

Leaving a blanket laying around this house is pretty dangerous. It just might get claimed by this guy.

140

Nick @anactualgorilla.ca · 29/09/2026

Been a week and I still here some of his sounds around the house. Not that I think I’m being haunted by a ghost cat… But I hear what sounds like a hungry meow or him jumping down from something. Weird how the brain works sometimes and just… Decides what a sound is automatically.

New phone decided it should show the scores of games being played by teams I follow on my CarPlay thingy. Not sure this is a good idea 😅😅

Living in Canada is not perfect. At all. We have plenty of our own problems. …But at least we don’t have to answer questions like this in our lame work training courses.

This is real and we’re not mad enough about it

Oh man! This came up in memories on another app and MAN GRIMACE WAS A REAL HORROR STORY FOR A WHILE

Nick @anactualgorilla.ca · 23/09/2026

First time I came home in 14 years without this guy being there. He slept on me every night. I’m sure I’ll still feel him climbing up on me for the next few nights. Little phantom paws.

I was reminded of this nightmare right here in my own hometown. The front of this building bothers me so much 🤣

Nick @anactualgorilla.ca · 22/09/2026

Can we all agree that in-game advertisements would be a bridge too far? That even if it’s a massive game like Red Dead 3 or whatever, we won’t support being advertised to in our games?

Nick @anactualgorilla.ca · 20/09/2026

Feeling randomly nostalgic for this stuff tonight. I haven’t had it in like 10-15 years, but opening a box was always a dangerous proposition… It never made its way back into the pantry 😅

Shit like this makes you even more envious of well-managed teams like Montreal. Go Leafs and Ducks 😭😭😭

The only thing that may qualify as a zinger that made me laugh is Zeldabean.

Nick @anactualgorilla.ca · 11/09/2026

Fans be porting Resident Evil 2 to the Saturn. The original RE on Saturn didn’t look as good as the PlayStation version (Saturn lagged on 3D but was a 2D powerhouse), but the super fun battle mode made it the better one for me. If a similar mode is made for this I would be very tempted indeed.

One of my favourite games ever is finally coming out of early access and getting another new biome and set of gear and materials. WOOO! …I should really get around to learning the board game 😅

Nick @anactualgorilla.ca · 04/09/2026

There’s not much I love more in gaming than Resident Evil. Anyone who’s watched me stream would know that too. I love the world, characters, story, and everything beautifully cheesy about them. But I really don’t think a direct adaptation would work well as a film. Definitely as a TV show though.

The new Mastodon album came out today and it absolutely rules. It’ll be at the top of my listening for a good few weeks, I imagine. Check it out!

Had an 80s “Retro Rewind” event/BBQ at work, and they were handing out lots of fun old candies and bazooka gum. The highlight of it was a pack of Fun Dip. I LOVED that stuff when I was a kid and had way too much fun with it as an old fart 😅

I was thinking about Tomb Raider’s 2013 reboot just now. I really loved that game. Rise was great and Shadow was good too, but that 2013 game hit different. Lara’s model was her best look ever too. Really not sure what the next games will play like, but I really hope for more like this one.

I would give anything to be able to fill those last couple blocks in the energy tank. Lefty knows what’s up. That’s a nice, full bar. Mr. Middle there? Exists only to torment. To make me wonder if I need one more energy pick up.

He wants a blueberry. Would you give him one? He loves them but will only take them if you squish them a little.

This phish didn’t bother hiding the “made with Blink” (that’s an AI tool) link/ad and didn’t bother having a good URL to hide behind. Tsk.

Watching Monarch and recognized the absolutely amazing actress Anna Sawai, except of course I didn’t know her name. I first saw her in Shogun, a show everybody should watch. Anyway. I will now bless your feeds with Anna Sawai. (Monarch is pretty decent for Kaiju fans!)
