I haven't pulled the trigger on the channel yet. Between Max, Kanopy, and physical media I almost have it covered. Though there are some movies on there, I think, that aren't available.

I guess it's true what they say. If you're famous and have a lot of money, people will give you things for free. The negative side of me thinks "I'll wait for the 50% off sales." The positive side of me thinks "It would be cool to walk into a mini version of The Closet."

My cats were always scared of those things. They're still scared of the noise the bubbler cat fountains make. They wouldn't go near either one of those things.

I saw the trailer before Longlegs. No title card to tell me what it was. I was thinking "I've seen this movie." Other than a very disturbing James McAvoy, it doesn't look like the remake is going to do anything different which begs the question, "Why remake it all?"

The challenge is to choose 20 films that greatly influenced you. One film per day for 20 days. No explanations, no reviews. Just posters/stills. 1/20

Thanks to my local Regal showing #Twisters on 5 of its 7 screens, at what seemed like every hour on the hour, me and four other people watched #Longlegs in relative peace and quiet. As much as the movie would let us, that is. #horror

Right? Can you imagine it? Smoke is still in the air from exploding bombs and out of it comes Stallone, flanked by Mr. T and Lundgren. All holding insanely large weapons.

I'm just jealous. My podunk town's theaters don't really do much beyond the norm. Sure, we can watch Despicable Me 4 at the 4 theaters from morning to night, but no 35mm prints, 70mm prints of anything.

I'd love to see DMCL on a big screen. Even better if it was grainy and there were still the cigarette burns in the corners. But now you have to check out Two Lane Blacktop to complete the cycle.

A Film Worth Fighting For @amindonfire.bsky.social · 04/07/2024

I wonder why Stallone never asked Mr. T to be in one of the Expendable movies? How cool would it have been to see two iconic Rocky "baddies" teaming up with Stallone?
