What's your favorite thing about @sophianyx.bsky.social's prompts? For me it's that "yesss" in reply to my answers. I know it's formulaic, but it makes me feel like I hit The Right Answer, like maybe I'm routinely wiser than I thought.

"I would enroll my son in that one. I want him to ruin the vibe. I want him to be annoying. To be the guy everyone hates for five minutes because he said, 'Stop.' To lose friends if necessary. It seems a modest definition of courage, but we can save ambition for graduate school."

If we are just comparing people who held elected office, what is the ratio of Republicans to Democrats who have been arrested for pedo stuff? Seriously, is it at 10:1 yet?

Macaroni and cheese, homemade, with shallots and roasted broccoli. The mac is penne, fusilli, farfalle, conchiglie, rotini, or the like. The cheese is extra-sharp cheddar, mixed into a butter-flour-milk roux. And the whole mess is topped with panko and baked.

Listen for it: replacing 's' with 'sh' — do people actually do this more than before, or am I just more aware of it? For example, "shtructure" which traditionally starts with an 's' sound. For speakers who do this, what are the rules? Is it always word-initial as part of certain consonant clusters?

Have we ever *seen* a person while delivering the line "Captain's log..." or "Personal log..." or whichever? Maybe for that line we're hearing not what they actually spoke, but the playback, which automatically starts log entries with AI-generated voice metadata stamps. I know, it's a reach.

"The I Love You Song" is a tearjerker. Most of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is lighthearted, but this song guts me. Olive, whose mother is on an ashram in India and whose father couldn't be bothered to take her to the bee, spells 'chimerical' and imagines the parents she could've had.
