Annual killifish continue to surprise us: they make neutrophils before almost every other cell type, even before gastrulation. Neutrophils usually arise from the lateral plate mesoderm (forming in cyan), but in killifish they are already patrolling around the embryo in gold. tinyurl.com/killiphil

A chaque vague de chaleur, ils disent "c'est normal, c'est l'été". Au mois de mai, ce n'est pas l'été : totalement impossibles (en mai) avant, désormais possibles dans un monde à 2°C, et probablement courantes dans une France à +4°C, elles sont plus précoces, plus intenses, plus longues.

On comptabilise 66 vagues de chaleur en France depuis 1900 : toutes situées après la mi-juin. Sauf probablemen celle qui arrive.
