The recent surge in measles cases should come as no surprise given how the Trump administration and RFK Jr. have repeatedly spread falsehoods and actively dismantled vaccine infrastructure.
A bar chart titled "Weekly measles cases in America" (by rash onset date, as of October 1, 2026) showing weekly cases from 2022 through 2026: 2022–2024: Weekly cases remain consistently low, near zero, with only brief, isolated spikes remaining below 50 cases. 2025: A notable surge occurs, with weekly cases rising in the spring and peaking near 120 cases before remaining moderately elevated throughout the rest of the year. 2026: A massive escalation featuring two primary surges—one in early winter peaking above 200 cases per week, and a second in late summer peaking near 200 cases per week. The chart cites the Center for Disease Control and Prevention ("Measles Cases and Outbreaks", 2026) and notes that 2025–2026 case counts are preliminary.

The Trump administration is fast-tracking deep-sea mining in federal waters in pursuit of the administration’s so-called “Energy Dominance Agenda"—all for a scheme that is technologically unproven, economically impractical, and likely to cause extensive environmental damage.
