I saw the red object as the symbol for the X-Men and my brain filled in the shape of Doop. It only got weirder from there. 😂 Also, really cool drawing! Spooky.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead(II... Here's a link to the page where I read up on it. It was also known as Salt of Saturn, which is an equally fascinating name. It does have modern day uses, but obviously being a sweetener is no longer one of them. What a world.

TIL about "sugar of lead", an historical alternative sweetener used for wine. As the name implies, it contains lead. It was banned as a sweetener in 1750, which did not stop people from making it, and may have contributed to Beethoven's hearing loss. Man loved his illegal lead-sweetened wine.

Saw Resident Evil in theater yesterday. That movie is a solid 9/10 . It's funny, which I didn't expect, and that works in its favor, which I -REALLY- didn't expect. It knows when to pull back to the human moments. Sometimes it's scary; sometimes it's genuinely shocking. It has a perfect ending.

TikTok lied to me about the origins of a couple phrases. Some people said that "the customer is always right" should have "in matters of taste" appended, but no. And that "blood is thicker than water" should be "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb", but also no.
