Sex Matters are demanding biological sex on Digital ID. Below are suggestions for when one should have to use their ID to "verify" their sex. For the avoidance of doubt – this is a call for the effective repeal of the Gender Recognition Act, in breach of our human rights obligations & EU Law.
Examples include:

joining a dating service
joining a single-sex association, such as Girlguiding or the Women’s Institute
applying for a bursary, prize or award that is only for women
joining a gym and using its ID to access male or female changing rooms
registering for sport with a national governing body or sports team, or for competitions
applying for a job in social care, policing, prisons or a single-sex service
seeking to rent in a shared house, homestay, hall of residence or dormitory
registering with a healthcare or social-care provider
registering with a single-sex service such as a rape crisis centre or women’s refuge, or being referred between such services.

NEW: 200+ Chicago-area clergy — Protestants, Catholics, and evangelicals — have signed a letter decrying ICE's efforts and voicing a willingness to put their "bodies on the line" for migrants. "What Kristi Noem and her ICE agents are doing is immoral," they write. religionnews.com/2025/10/21/a...
(RNS) - Last Friday (Oct. 17), the Rev. Hannah Kardon, a United Methodist minister in the Chicago area, stood alongside other protesters demonstrating outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Broadview, Illinois. As a line of Illinois State Police began marching toward her and other demonstrators, gripping wooden batons, footage shows the pastor with her hands raised in prayer.
Officers then pushed into the protesters, forcing them back.
One officer shifted his stance, reared back and began shoving his baton like a battering ram - jamming it repeatedly, Kardon says, into her leg. A few seconds later, the pastor was pulled from the crowd and thrown to the ground.
All the while, Kardon says, she never stopped praying. When officers began to arrest her, they tied her arms behind her back and placed her along the curb.
"I said, 'God, please help these people to know that what they're doing is wrong, and help them to turn around," Kardon, who leads United Church of Rogers Park in Chicago, said in an interview. Her leg, she said, has developed visible bruises.

Why our organs cannot simply be classified as male or female
Biological sex is usually described in simple binary terms: male or female. This works well for germ cells (sperm versus eggs), but for other body organs it is of little help.

Almighty and everlasting God,
the only worker of great marvels,
send down upon your servant Sarah,
called to be Archbishop of Canterbury,
and all who are committed to her care,
the spirit of your saving grace,
and that they may truly please you,
pour upon them the continual dew of your blessing.
Grant this, O Lord,
for the honour of our advocate and mediator,
Jesus Christ.
Amen.

'Knackered, Babes' by @ambulancebox.bsky.social badlilies.uk/amy-jo-philip
io.
Origins are not the only fight, although they lead too often straight back into the great expanse of conflict. Resistance is febrile. What choice does the desert
have but patience? It does not possess the property of mercy. Resistance is fateful. The moral arc has not yet verified its course, its curve, its carve. Resistance
is faithful. The fox in the twilit park blurs into something unsubstantiated.
Resistance is faithful. Most of the universe is, even the rocks. Go forth and
bear fruit, fruit that will outlast.
Resistance is faithful. Go forth and gather the crumbs from beneath the table so as
to form a brick. Resistance is faithful.
There is no reason for this to mean a curse, babes.
