GOOD NEWS! Researchers have discovered a new antibiotic, known as manikomycin, that may be a bulwark in the fight against drug-resistant superbugs. By attacking the ribosome in a never-before-seen way, manikomycin can evade the existing mechanisms pathogens have developed to resist antibiotics.

Clotho Buer [and his comrades] - Game Over Context in ALT (‼️Warning: Some spoilers from Gundam Seed) #fanart #clothobuer

This is a fanart for the death anniversary (September 27) of Gundam Seed’s Boosted Men (Clotho, Orga and Shani). I never drew Azrael for this since I know he’s pretty hated by majority of the fans of the boosted men, but the concept of Muruta dying before Clotho gave me this idea (and unfortunately I love Muruta).

I have this headcanon that Clotho somehow admired his superior but considering what he did to them, there’s a mix of both sorrow and relief when Clotho saw Muruta dying in his imagination before his final moments (when he was about to be killed in action). Sorrow, because he lost his comrades, and relief because he is finally free.

I placed the spirits of Orga and Shani as a symbol of them waiting for Clotho in the other side. The rest is open for interpretation. This didn’t actually happen in the show, it’s mostly my personal interpretation hehe.

Now watching: Gundam Char’s Counterattack I watched this when I was so young with my cousin, and I didn’t understand since I haven’t seen the first 3 series yet. It’s really great watching it after ZZ and the 2 Hathaway movies.

this is so humiliating to post again but being a disabled person who has to support multiple other people in his home on one income is very taxing 🥲 i'm also on a cheap insurance plan that doesn't cover much so if i need an emergency procedure i'm not sure what billing will look like either. sigh.

notes app screenshot that reads: "hey guys i really hate making posts like this but i'm in a giant bind as of late 🥲

for the past 2 weeks i've been in excruciating abdominal pain in my sides, which i've been experiencing for years but it has now escalated to the point where eating is painful, being awake is painful, and i'm struggling to do basic tasks like wash myself and get up to go to the bathroom because of how painful it is to move or be upright

this pain has no name currently besides "something gallbladder/appendix/pancreas related"; various theories have been thrown around for a long time because i keep having inconclusive labs and scans. i go in for more of them again on friday, but i'm uncertain if they will help me"

notes app screenshot that reads: "i've been avoiding missing work or going to the ER because i don't have any pto and it doesn't seem like i'll be able to cover the overtime shift i initially asked for on friday. i'm already struggling to go to work as it is but i cannot afford to lose time at all

i'm concerned about potentially missing work over this and how much my insurance is going to bill me for scans and my most recent surprise/unexpected visit 🫠 i was hoping to pay for this type of stuff with the tax return that i was supposed to get this year but it never came which has only added to my recent frustration

sorry for the huge yap but if this could be reposted that would be great"

notes app screenshot that reads:

cashapp: $kaijufriend
venmo: kaijufriend
ko-fi: kaijufriend"

Another work in progress for upcoming cons, a guide to medieval headwear with my cat. It will be a risograph, though I’m unsure what colours yet.

A rough layout for a poster with my cat Pixie wearing various medieval women’s headwear.

trying a style for a tarot deck. i wanted to illustrate my own cards for ages. let's see how this works out. #tarot #illustration #artsky #fantasy #horror

a tarot card of the magician. the right hand is pointing upward, the left downward. his head is a floating skull, his rips and sternum are exposed. behind him are the minor arcana symbols sword, staff, chalice and pentacle. he's framed by blue thistles and stars
