Forgot to say, finished ‘Psalm for the Wild-Built’ by Becky Chambers. A really lovely solarpunk novella, already ordered ‘Monk and Robot’ as it seems it’s easier to get the omnibus of both novellas than to get book 2 (A Prayer for the Crown-Shy) Now on ‘There is no Antimemetics Division’ by @qntm

Art class was using charcoals, willow, compressed and pencils. Working on deleting edges as well as softening them, and white chalk too. Really fun and stupidly messy. Need to buy some supplies!

Art today. Contours and then shading using graphite power and pencil. The interesting thing is hands. I was ambidextrous favouring left as a child and the school forced me to use my right. I experimented in class as I had done my drawing and wanted to try something else…

There’s an old vehicle “show” in Victoria Square, #birmingham, and this brings back memories. Used to use the bus all the time, and these were the ones I used!

Finished Extremophile by the amazing @ianthegreen.bsky.social. Not sure what else I can say other than it was a joy to read and now I’m looking up his other books. It’s like the antithesis of solarpunk, a sidestep from cyberpunk and a celebration of a dying Earth.

A well read (well once anyway) copy of Extremophile by Ian Green and a watercolour fly bookmark on top.

It’s a bit battered as it’s been in a bag and satchel and side bag and back pocket

Went to the Book Extravaganza by Rosie’s Retro Bazaar and Fantom publishing. Got an art print and key ring from Em’s Illo, two book anthologies edited by Donna Scott, and one from Holly Jade. Another fine addition(s) to the collection *General Grievous wheeze*
