Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 06/10/2026To be honest Steve Maher's design was far better than mine, but for some reason didn't work for Mr Pratchett. 110
Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I met him briefly when he came into Cosgrove Hall during the production of Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music. I was doing turnarounds of characters for animation. He wasn't happy with the design of 'Death', so I did a version that passed approval. Which was nice! 130

Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Well, IT'S READYish. Kickstarter pre-launch is active! Please sign up there if you fancy it. I can then gauge interest which gives me ideas for funding targets, add-ons etc. It should go live in October for an appropriately spooky seasonal Kickstarter! Thank you! www.kickstarter.com/projects/aly...kickstarter.comComing soon: Candelstone: A Faery TaleAn original graphic novel of magical realism set against the insular world of an isolated 1920's Devon boarding school. 22913

Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 31/08/2026The Aviator used historical colour grading to define the eras, so to be fair to Scorsese, two-colour Technicolor was appropriate for 20s/30s. As the film gets into the 40s it changes to full Techicolor. But otherwise I completely agree - it’s overused. 040

You'd never get away with such measured pacing today but it's a crackingly eerie little tale. The film PAPERHOUSE was based on the same book by Catherine Storr. 5223
Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 20/08/2026A profound influence on the young me. The ‘stones’ but also the concept of lucid dreaming and dream realities. Maybe the colour prints exist in an attic somewhere… 030
Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 19/08/2026I've just got your other order. I shall see if I can ship more economically and refund the difference if I find a better option. Sending overseas is far harder than it used to be. Thank you again! 110

Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 06/08/2026Ah, currently touring? Both films are fabulous, but I think TPS has it for me. Drunk Jimmy Stewart is a joy! 110
Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 06/08/2026There must be something in the air; we’re on a Hepburn/Grant fix right now as well. Just [re]watched The Philadelphia Story (which is wonderful) and have Sylvia Scarlett on the list next. 110

Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 30/07/2026It'll be clearer with the text, I also split a panel with a window later in the book, which might need an edit, as the eye reads it as two panels not a split. Horizontals and verticals can screw up tangents if one isn't careful. 110
Aly Fell @alyfell.bsky.social · 29/07/2026Pages take as long as they do, and in all honesty I kept changing the layout of the earlier pages like this one. So it's really difficult to say. With a deadline, I work to that. Without it? -- as long or as short as I want. Not helpful am I! 110
