In the Mario Teaches Typing games, Mario never criticizes the player for underperforming and tries to be understanding and supportive. According to Charles Martinet, that was his initiative, as he felt being negative would go against the core principles of Mario's character.

In the Mario Teaches Typing games, even if the player does badly or underperforms compared to previous attempts, Mario will try to be understanding instead of critical:
Uh-oh, that wasn't quite as fast as the last time.
Hmm, are your fingers getting tired? Mine would be by now... if I had any. (laughs)
Charles Martinet, speaking at TooManyGames Convention 2021:
I got this marvelous opportunity to do Mario Teaches Typing. And when I got the script and I'm in the studio - I'm reading the script for the first time, there were things like "You failed!"
"That wasn't very good." "That was much worse... that was bad."
And I was reading that and I said, "Do you mind if I just, like, play with these words a little bit and just change them around?" because, you know, I never say "no" and I never say anything negative as Mario... and the producer graciously said "Sure, go for it!"
And so it became "Oh, that was good, but I know you can do even better!" "Oh, nice one but let's try again!" so it was always uplifting and always trying to be positive. And I think that that is the essence of the character to me - it's that love and that joy.

Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

$A GameCube disc has a storage capacity of 1.46 gigabytes. Many Mario games use only a fraction of that storage. Below is the optimal distribution of the smallest Mario-related games on the system to fit 6 entire retail games on a single disc. Unused space 54 MB Luigi's Mansion 186 MB DDR Mario Mix 264 MB Wario World 257 MB Donkey Konga 2 312 MB Donkey Konga 250 MB Please note that this pie chart is for data visualization only. If the games were in fact put on one disc, the data would be arranged in rings, not in slices. Concept for post based on an idea from a comment by @vinchvolt.bsky.social$

#Art of #OC Aluigi dressed up as none other than Luigi, with a Poltergust inspired by the Poltergust 4000 (from Mario Kart DS) This is a reference to how I played through Luigi's Mansion (2001) recently - I beat the game in a few days, but got a B rank instead of an A rank. Had a great time though!

It's a paper pencil drawing of Aluigi
The left half of the image is a full body front look at Aluigi's Luigi costume itself, albeit without the accompanying Poltergust.
The upper right shows a smaller drawing of Aluigi's Luigi costume, from a diagonal rear view angle because it's strangely the best angle for showing him WITH his accompanying Poltergust, which is based on the Poltergust 4000 model, as seen on Mario Kart DS.
The bottom right shows the Poltergust 4000 itself, standing on its wheels because... It's a kart. A vehicle. It has wheels. A red arrow is pointing at it as well!
I chose to picture the Poltergust 4000 rather than the Poltergust 3000, despite the fact I played Luigi's Mansion, because of Aluigi's affiliation with vehicular performance making it a fun and fitting choice

#Art of #OC Aluigi racing his Wild Wing against the one and only BMW M3 GTR from #NeedForSpeed Most Wanted I beat the game after playing it when I could. Took me about a week to do so! Milestones prevented me from getting 100%, but I ended up at 98%, and I'm happy with that Enjoy!

Paper pencil drawing of Aluigi, very confidently driving his red Wild Wing, right next to the blue and silver BMW M3 GTR from Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005), which is more prevalent in the drawing itself. The warm lighting matches the game's deliberately washed out, yellowish lighting. Aluigi is probably lapping that very powerful car to oblivion given his pure speed, but who cares?

#art of #OC Aluigi standing(? He's kind of hovering) alongside some of Bloom in Gostiva's cast! Happy (late) birthday to @wadosk.bsky.social !

It's a paper pencil drawing.
left to right: Valerie, Primrose, Aluigi, Abby, Diego, Valentine, Mina, Alissa, Kim

primrose, abby and diego are right next to him, i imagine those 3 would be instantly hooked by the little guy
then valentine is explaining who he is to alissa (brought by diego), kim (bystander) and mina, who is taking notes while the other two are not as impressed
also unimpressed is valerie who looks at him confused if anything, she's probably just here cuz of mima and primrose
aluigi isn't even doing anything, he's just hovering above ground

9th of the 9th Month #Art of #OC Aluigi dressed up as #Cirno from #Touhou (⑨) in a 9x9 square Did you know I've been drawing this guy for over 9 years by now? Where did those 9 years go? Guess they go fast when you're fast like he is!

Paper drawing that is precisely 9 squares tall and 9 squares wide of Aluigi falling with his arms crossed and a confident smile, while wearing an adapted Cirno cosplay, dated 9/9/2026
the text written in cursive reads "Aluigi dressed up as Cirno in a 9x9 square for 9/9/2026"
