Introduce the premise. I go back to my journalism and come up with ledes to sum up the story or hook and a couple of more sentences to sum up the story. For keeping readers excited, I talk about what I'm writing. In the writing itself, I try and introduce new info or cliffhangers in each chapter.

Something unexpected. YuYu Hakusho had it's Dark Tournament BBEG Toguro decline alcohol and instead ask for OJ. A "compelling want." I take a trope and try and flip it in some way. A paladin agrees to help defeat a monster because he wants to to help pay or his demon daughter's magic education

No worries, I'm terrible at shout-outs. I think I have a few questions. Make a prickly character like-able Make them relatable in some way or give them a "good quality." If they hate people, they love animals.

Mortal Kombat: Deception. I unlocked every character, and 100 percented Konquest mode. Man, back when DLC hadn't started and the only price you paid for getting every character was time and hard work.

Yeah, I made it crude, but it's how I feel about those folks. Cults terrify me and that's what they are. The term "crotch trophies" is something I stole from an old college friend who hated the kids living in her apartment complex.

#awesomecharacters Burnice. Despite being a gnome ranger and a Ron Swanson-like demeanor, she can go to extremes in a fight. She takes down a version of Hercules by coating herself and her weapons in poison that infects them during their fight - a poison she built an immunity for over the years.

Thanks! I've done Waterdeep Parks and Recreation for a lot of DMs Guild booklets. Baldur's Gate is very different though. Waterdeep is Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Baldur's Gate is Law & Order. However, I like the idea of making BG more comedic and light-hearted and community-focused.

Yes, I just appropriated the Quiverful Movement's whole identity, where they compare a man's dick to a quiver and his crotch trophies as arrows and how they need to fire multiple babies into the world to purify it or some shit. They suck. Fuck 'em.

I'm also romanticizing this, but I also write because it's rewarding. There's something good about making something with your brain and hands, especially with people trying to pimp out their AI crap. Writing just gives me purpose. My stories are my arrows that fire into the world to make it better

I also write because it's my way of giving back to the world and bringing some joy to others. I bring up joy a lot because Joy is something we need to cherish because there are stupid, mean motherfuckers out there who believe that others don't deserve it because they're different in some way.
