iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Oh yea that is definitely a thing too! I didn't put it on my 11 either, but my partner gave me their old 14 and had already updated😅ios 18 UI was really clean, tidy, and on point- this new one is so flashy it's actually hard to use... try reading text printed on a transparent foil that wiggles wtf

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

people.kernel.org/monsieuricon/cree… This is…bad, actually. Someone describes it as the social contract of the web collapsing and I don’t think that’s an overstatement. The core problem is that generating a website is usually more expensive than loading it.

I‘m fine but I didn’t realize the shock until I was unpacking the groceries at home and suddenly started crying. Please please do NOT text while driving, it WILL cost you more than money...

I was already preparing for the impact but the really scary part was not that he almost hit me head on- it was the split second when my thoughts flipped from 'he does not to pay attention' to 'he WANTS to hit me' because nobody is accelerating to 60 in the wrong lane without noticing.

110

Anselm Zielonka @alonka.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Luckily I already slowed down enough to come to a full stop and he only looked up when I slammed the horn. He swerved off literally in the last second and with centimeters to spare. If I hadn't stopped already he definitely would have crashed into me.

PSA: DO NOT TEXT WHILE DRIVING! Today I almost got hit by oncoming traffic… The guy was already driving very left but kept drifting further into my lane, and didn't realize it because he was watching his fucking phone-

not sure if this fits, but for transparency and selection purposes i always like to use a clown pass: switch the render engine to workbench; set lighting to flat; color to random; if you need transparent background set film to transparent
