James and I are looking for a third creative business partner for @logomancy.bsky.social! We are hoping to find someone who wants an equity stake in our business, a content studio and collective, with a strong business arm to fund creative projects. 🧵

I want to get back into airsoft, and seriously considering just buying my tac clothes on Temu since it's all made there anyways...

I'm reading up on the Switch 2, mostly because I've always loved having Nintendo consoles. At this point though, the fact the console and only release title will be $700 bundled is just insane to me.

It should be illegal to charge for the first checked on airlines. Whoever came up with that scam, I hope you never know happiness again.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII is $90 in Canada. $90. I am sorry, but ain't no way I am going to pay $90 for that. I don't think I've ever spent more than $50 on one of their games.

The wonderful thing about the Canadian strike against American goods is realizing I can still have Red Bull, they're from Austria. Also, if anyone finds one of their mini fridges let me know, I want one.

I've had a good couple weeks. A really amazing pay raise, some awesome friends have been around more, and I am moving down a short size. I feel the best I have in years. Shit isn't always going to be awesome, but it feels like it's getting better.

I want to do more adventures this year. I want more trips, more sights seen. I know I have a little one coming, but Nora loved the little day trips when she was a wee baby. Maybe we can do more of those now.

My favourite overlanding trend is when you explain you don't need to spend $3500 on a RTT and a ground tent in Bear Country is just fine, you get shamed for not encouraging spending boatloads of money.

I can tell my mental health is slowly getting better. I did more than just the bare basics of cleaning my office space. I deep cleaned my office, and I am trying to keep it that way. It's not perfect, but it's getting there.

I wish I could universally block a company from being able to send me ads. I absolutely hate Temu with a passion, and think it is the peak of consumerism destroying our planet. And yet I'm force fed ads for it on just about every platform.

Day Eight of the 12 Days of Canadian Christmas! Santa Claus took a short trip from the North Pole to Alert, NWT (now Nunavut) to get some supplies before he began his trip around the world in this photo from December 1976. 📸Library and Archives Canada 5039418

This image from Canadian History features a person dressed as Santa Claus shaking hands with another individual outside a building marked with the number 10A. Above them, a sign reads "World's Northerly Supply Section, We Supply Santa Claus," with an illustration of Santa. The scene is set in a snowy environment, suggesting a festive or Christmas theme, likely in a northern or Arctic location. The interaction between Santa and the other person might symbolize a ceremonial or traditional exchange, possibly related to the supply of goods or the spirit of giving during the holiday season.

I won't be able to upload photos from it directly, but that's kind of the point... I am stoked for an entry back into film. Having spent the night using a super high quality Mirror less camera, this is a kind of funny little juxtaposition. One I'm excited to play with.

Do unborn babies dream of unborn sheep? Apparently my soon-to-be born daughter starts to dream this week. I wonder what she dreams about. Is it our voices? Is it the weird music choices I play while driving? Is it her sisters wild giggles as we play. It's probably the Bluey theme, if I'm honest.

Something I don't think we get to talk enough about is the cool things we get to do in volunteer and community service space. I've been working with the Cadet Program for a decade or more at the point, to say nothing of the 7 years I did as a cadet. Now I have a chance to do some cool things! 🧵1/

My biggest issue with Amazon is, and will always be, the overt incompetence of their ordering and shipping system. We have orders coming to our business, marked as a business with hours between 8 and 5, and repeatedly they will try and deliver at 6 or 7, confused as to why we magically aren't there.

I want to love Rocky Mountain Soap. It's local, has a strong environmental focus, and treats their people well. But a $25 (or 30%) increase in price year over year is just crazy to me... First year in 10 years I'll be buying my mum something different for Christmas.

Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved. We need more shows that look ahead and find goodness.
