Not pretty, but delicious. My girlfriend is now one of the few French people to eat a jalapeno popper 😮 (she liked it)

If you see this, post a vampire that isn’t Dracula. You *really* need to watch the whole video. It’s… something youtu.be/Eqk4pWnVN5w?...

My hot take. I don’t trust metal drummers with 4 piece kits. I want the double bass drums, 8+ toms, octobons and so many cymbals (especially splashes) that the only way I know the drummer is there is when they throw a stick at the crowd #metalsky

My French girlfriend introduced me to Les Rita Mitsouko. As a child of the 80s music I wish I could have experienced them live. Amazing band. Catherine Ringer, the other half, was taken way too soon by cancer as well. 😡 youtu.be/1zWlnzFXcKY?... #musicsky

I don’t normally post pictures of meals, but today was a nice tag team effort between me and Pascale. I cooked the meat, made the sauce and she handled veggies Pork loin with a plum reduction/habanero sauce Merguez (French-Algerian sausage ) Carrots Vichy Ratatouille à la pascale #cookingsky

Nice to have some tech-death visit little ol’ Grenoble. It has been a few years since I’d seen Allegaeon. Got to chat with Ezra afterwards. #metalsky

It’s nice to see the Arturia crew out drinking beers. It seems like they have relaxed the requirement that everyone wear an Arturia T-shirt, I’m only seeing two. #arturia #synthsky

After a year, the paperwork got approved and I’m officially the proprietor of a company here in France. Now, I guess it’s time to actually do something 😬

Over the years I’ve seen a *lot* of (metal) bands. Metallica and the “top 4”. From Emperor, Agalloch, Satyricon to more obscure bands like Celeste, Ulcerate and Znowhite. But until yesterday I had never seen Iron Maiden. The sound was shit and they were tiny, but they’re off the list. #metalsky

So I’m a big fan of @nealasher.bsky.social ‘s books. Good sci fi where lots of shit blows up (he maybe uses the word “appalling “ too much, but hey, it’s a great word. Unfortunately just started reading one of his newer books (Dark Diamond) and the prologue is a dedication to Elon Musk. Yikes 😬

When I buy gifts for my girlfriend, my tendency is to go big. The best cooking knife. The best anything she likes . You get the idea. Just after we started dating, she bought me a small blanket to keep my arm warm but not hot next to my body. Best gift ever. Wish I had her insight

I got all my spectral followers working , but it’s not loud enough in the bar to show off (I assure you all it’s really cool!) I also got my chaotic modulators mostly working (there’s a bug with the pendulum). And now the ui work to expand to 8 modulators, #guitarsky #weirdguitarnoises

almostEric @almosteric.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

So yesterday, I post a video of one of the two pedals I’m working on and I made the mistake of saying I thought it was feature complete. Then I saw a stupid video of gs-dsp’s vsts and now I have a lot more ideas for the modulation system. I guess it needed to be refactored anyway 🙄

almostEric @almosteric.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

Second quick demo of my spectral delay. Pretty much feature complete. Now comes the hard part #guitarfx #weirdguitarnoises #guitarsky

Quick demo of solar wind. It’s a stereo multi tap , reversible spectral delay with per tap fx. Everything can be modulated. Still need to get the dynamic fx working This is just a D chord being played Then I need to get it running on hardware 😬

I really need to get ASIO capturing working, but here is my pedal prototype doing 4 PLLs. Some PW modulation, a sequencer modulating the frequency multiplier. Theres also frequency quantization and a little am tremolo on a couple of them . I think this pedal will be a lot of fun 😈

Well, shit. Tough decision to make but Im abandoning Max/MSP RNBO and am just going do it all with JUCE. Sorry @cycling74.bsky.social , but RNBO’s documentation is terrible, it’s buggy and difficult to debug your own projects. And the exported code is so inefficient. #pedalsky #DSPsky

My spectral delay is coming along nicely. Rhythmic multi taps, reverse, frame shifting, band shifting, algorithmic sieves, phase manipulation, with every parameter able to be modulated. This has it all 😎

almostEric @almosteric.bsky.social · 28/06/2025

One day I will get JUCE and Max/MSP RNBO happily talking to each other. Today is not that day . Made progress but soooo much bs to wade through 🤬#codingishard
