I don't know what RSD is like nor if me saying this could help, but as a viewer I don't experience your mood swings or rough days. Just the overall impression of nice chill good vibes. When you explain your struggles it comes across as an apology - but to me, you've never even done any wrong! 🦭

I also want to say I'm very grateful that you stream at a time when nobody else I know does, even if it means it's the hours when I'm busy with the gym / making a meal / domestic chores so I'm rarely as active as I'd like to be. There's more enthusiasm and enjoyment in silent lurking than you know.💙

As someone who has been following for less than a year and thus haven't seen your perceived past glory days, let me be a data point saying you're still reaching people and making content that fully satisfies your audience. Print that statement, laminate it, and look at it when the RSD bullies you.

Hey you know how when Tucker Carlson or Nick Fuentes toss out some nominally left wing position, and everyone immediately recognizes it as an attempt to rehabilitate their image and infiltrate new audiences? Maybe stop praising the Pope just because he hates AI, like everyone else does.

About an hour ago while I was at the gym, just getting ready to leave, some aircraft broke the sound barrier. Scary loud. The buildings shook. We have no further knowledge about it. For now I am fine, but my likelihood of being murdered by Russians has never felt so high or so real.

I keep forgetting to post when I stream on Twitch. Or do anything, really. twitch.tv/allonbachuth Today I'm playing Mini Ghost, a metroidvania kind of game in an 80's MSX pixel artstyle.

Casey, which era of Porcupine Tree is your favorite? The early psychedelic stuff? The later heavier stuff? The poppier inbetween era of Stupid Dream & Lightbulb Sun?

Have you checked out Moonlight Peaks? It has a demo. Seems very much like what you're describing. There's also Welcome to Elderfield which just came out, but I'd wager that leans too much on horror to be light-hearted.

My only complaint about the Torneko's Mystery Dungeon Remake that just came out (having only played the original) is that I don't understand why it has the prefix Dragon Quest Heroes. Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2 were 3D hack n' slash Musou games. No relation to Mystery Dungeon. They've been forgotten.

I caught this in my feed between Pat & Paige posts and thought it was them reposting some @peachsaliva.bsky.social pixel fanart. It got crazier when I booted the game up. The demo shows an autoscroller level where you ride a stinky Elmo cat! C'mon! How is this real?

The title screen of the Super Famicom game GS Mikami - Joreishi wa Nice Body. It prominently features a red-haired woman with big green nice and presumably the titular nice body.

Why, that would be Protandrena mexicanorum, found in Central and North America! Because they are most commonly seen pollinating Asclepias plants, which is to say milkweeds. Thank you for bringing attention to this unsung hero of the insect world.

There is no way that it was this album, but Cryptopsy's 1996 album None So Vile has me laughing nonstop for the whole 32 minutes. Death metal's really funny with how over the top it gets sometimes.

3. But also, just turn your device horizontal if you're watching on mobile. If you prefer a vertical orientation, I am purposefully filtering you out. Go watch somebody else. Phones have ruined everything.

Allon Bachuth @allonbachuth.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

1. I don't have fast enough upload speeds to stream in 2K. It's just not available in my area. Don't make that some personal failing of mine. 2. Vertical mode would require I update my streaming software, which last I did reduced my server connection stability. No thanks.

Allon Bachuth @allonbachuth.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

Overnight Twitch added some nagging buttons at the top of the streamer dashboard. One informing you that you're offline and to setup 2K streaming, and another to setup Vertical dual-streaming. Fortunately I managed to block them with uBlock Origin, because that mess pisses me off.

Whole lot of cool indie RPGs out there that I don't mind shining a light on. Not too impressed by the recommendations I got based on them though. Only three of them were RPGs, and quite different flavors of RPG. I suppose it'll have a hard time picking anything if my game choices are too obscure.

9 Steam Games I Want to Spread
1. Axe Cop. 2. Scarmonde. 3. Born of Bread.
4. Felvidek. 5. Crystal Project. 6. Dig Night.
7. Crescent Tower. 8. Franzen. 9. False Skies.

You're boycotting Eurovision because of Israel. I'm boycotting Eurovision because it has platformed the most awful music I hear all year, every year I've been subjected to it. Politics aside, it's a miserable shitshow. We are not the same. But also fuck Israel.

The discourse I saw was that the climax(?) of the rebellious skateboarding game was an act of arson, burning down a house, which they get away with because one of the girls' dad is a cop who helps cover it up. A "triumph of self-assertion" fully reliant on the system working for you.

What's a BAD videogame that you think more people should play? I say Final Fantasy 13. The party interactions are quite fun and interesting, especially when you realize Vanille is an autistic lesbian who holds the group together. How rare is that?

Gonna start a new bit where I subskeet my responses *here* to things I see in the twitter algoslop feed. Example: Guy says "If you complain about videogame camera I kinda think ur a baby" I say this person has never played Thousand Arms on PS1. Or Devil May Cry 1. Cameras can be bad, actually.

Apropos of nothing, if the creator of something you cherished turns out to be a horrible person, the answer isn't to close your hearts for fear of disappointment, it's to love more. Love with abandon, because there's always new art to find, love so much as to always outweigh the disappointments. ❤️
