Some news to share: Friday was my last day with 95.7 NewsRadio and Roger’s Sports & Media. It was an absolute privilege to contribute to these stations over the last few years. I’ll soon be headed to the Prairies for an exciting new opportunity in Saskatchewan! More on that soon!

Unsettled is a good word to describe this weekend in the Maritimes. An upper-level low will help trigger the development of scattered showers and thundershowers. It won’t be a washout with some sun in the mix, but watch the radar if spending time outdoors! #NSwx #NBwx #PEwx #NLwx

Lots of sunshine in the Maritimes Wednesday with warm temperatures, but a chance of pop-up showers over interior NS, PEI, and NB in the afternoon to evening. Risk of thundershowers in NB. Rain and showers for NL, thunderstorm risk in the east with cool temperatures for most.

Winds diminish tonight with warmer weather for much of the region on Tuesday. The weather is also looking fair for most, but there will be a low chance of an isolated shower over the eastern Maritimes and western N.L. #NSwx #NBwx #PEwx #NLwx

I swear this satellite loop is in MAY, not JANUARY. Because a nor'easter passing just south of Nova Scotia while undergoing bombogenesis and a cold front down to the Yucatan isn't something I would expect to see at this time of year. #NSStorm #NBStorm #PEStorm #NLStorm

This coincides with a broader move to point-based forecasts versus county/region "zone forecasts" currently used. From what I understand, this will allow EC meteorologists to put a greater focus how significant weather will impact people (such as with the new confidence vs impact alerts).
