Emily Wilson’s response to the Odyssey film is exactly how I would have liked Tracy Chapman to react when that guy did the bland cover of Fast Car and had a huge hit but she way too sweet and accepting lol.

The Sea The Sea by Iris Murdoch got me hooked on her books. I kept it a secret for years, but there you go. The use of language just fascinated me, and I wanted to try it myself, same as I did with scribbles and stories reading Enid Blyton. Fastword and I am seriously trying to hone my style.

even though i caught the movements were off I didn't twig it was AI....it was like I don't know is there a word for it, but a sense of something off but you ignore it (I do this too often in editing my writing but that's another story). Scary where this is heading I think potentially

i kinda thought there was something off with the movements alright.....but didn's know who the imposed person was or that he was famous, so you live you learn.

For when you are feeling nutty with the pastels. Don't know if I've given up writing, but I'm reading a lot. Best things: To Star the Dark, Doireann Ní Ghríofa, A line made by walking, Sarah Baume, and a tonic in Thirteen ways to smell a tree, David George Haskell.

Two poems from my first collection 'Her Lost Language' have just been used in a film about Nunhead Cemetery. It's strange to think I wrote the poems years ago, and now they have a 2nd life in the world. Look forward to sharing the film here soon. 🌿

Today's scribble. Haven't been able to write for a long time. Have looked over old stuff alright and edited, but can only get so far with that. When I think about writing I feel stuck, like what? I need encouragement, but maybe that can only come from within even if I was getting THE publications.

So today, looking after the books (reading kind), I was called upon for a computer/network issue. Thankfully I solved it. I'd forgotten how satisfying that is. Spent rest of day fuzzy headed, getting biro on my striped pink shirt, coffee stains, knocked over a loaded ashtray. Might try HRT.

I've been stopping to talk to a young homeless person over last three months. I've witnessed her deteriote and age badly. I've witnessed her turn from extremely vulnerable to taking on street smarts. Hardened. Still very vulnerable. Wish there was intervention. It's be humane, wouldn't it.

What a wonderful time of year. Easy to forget the worries with a stroll in the woods/park/wherever one goes, for an hour or so. Birdsong, buds, leaves, flowers. Reality comes back with a vengeance, but I'm taking those hours. Grant me the serenity, how does that old prayer go.....
