I wonder if BBC news also thinks that Laura Kissinger’s interview style is as shit and annoying as I think it is?

If TW cannot pay its debts, it should go bust. Normally assets are then sold & debts paid, but here the SAR cannot sell most assets as they are required for water & sewerage. So the £20bn debt might not be repaid… SO WHAT. That’s a better result than shit in rivers. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Without doubt X should be banned from the UK. There are alternative platforms. Why This country panders and fails to control things that are harmful to us all is beyond me. We ban the odd radical from coming here. Yet we allow a toxic fog horn to exist here all the time 🤦🏻‍♂️

Trump wasn’t interested in Ukraine. He said it was Europes problem. He also said the US was so mighty it didn’t need them. I don’t yet see him calling on Middle Eastern states to protect the shipping lanes in their back yard. instead he’s calling on Europe. Is he free riding off us again?

Fuck @bbcnews.bsky.social and its deference to Prince Andrew. “He’s always denied any wrong doing”. Factually not correct. He has never denied leaking confidential information as he’s only recently been rumbled on that. And he’s lied about his relationship with a convicted peado

First it was @bbclaurak.bsky.social now @thetimes.com giving Mandleson airtime. One aspect of this saga is the establishment and its protective blanket. Mandleson cannot claim to have been manipulated. Epstein pleaded guilty for child abuse and you continued to be friends and support him. Simple.

@tomtugendhat.bsky.social on Laura Kusenburg. “Rent controls don't work” changing drugs policy doesn’t work. Unlike the previous 50 years of Labour/Tory policy which have been very successful on house building and the cost of drugs on society. Well done Tom, keep the faith. You will be right one day

AliP @alipride.bsky.social · 01/02/2026
The Laura Kusenburg team must make lists of headlines they want prior to interviews “yeah Laura, ask him if he’s ever taken drugs, that’s classic click bait”. Utterly pointless. But well done @zackpolanski.bsky.social for delivering sensible answers to the shite thrown at you. Good luck in Gorton.

Can anyone explain to me why BBCs Laura Kussenburg gives airtime to Peter Mandleson and treats him as if he is still some kind of statesmen with a voice we all need to hear? He’s literally offering his judgements when we know that his judgement is appalling.

The thing about British politics is that you always think things can’t get worse but then someone new comes along and proves you wrong. I see a future with Starmer as PM, Liz Truss as Chancellor, Prince Andrew as corruption and sleaze envoy and Farage in charge of race relations.

#pmqs That was genuinely staggering. I’ve never seen anything like it. What workplaces forces a clearly distressed person to sit exposed to colleagues and cameras like that. I’m not a Rachel Reeves fan but take some time out.

For investors that espouse the freedom and discipline of the market, it’s interesting how quick they run to demanding government intervention when the market determines that their investment is a shit pipe. Give the dividends back then come back and complain.

Brilliant submission by Guy here. It's essential that everyone who wants to see richer ecosystems in England also contributes to this consultation, however briefly, as many vested interests will defend the status quo. It's the first time in my life that we've had this chance. Let's not waste it.

It was getting worse with the BLM marches during lockdown. Then the Sarah Everard vigils. Pensioners now in prison for having thin wrists. The huge increase in police ability to crack down or block protests just because 1 statue got pulled down (peacefully). Travesty if Labour don’t sort this out

If your desire is to ferment civil war in the UK, then replacing Farage with Tommy Robinson makes complete sense. It whilst many UK people are right leaning and/or like Reform, supporting Robinson misreads the room and he should’ve stuck with Farage. There he was doing damage and being annoying

This is really great news from Oxfam. Looks like we’re all going to get wealthy in 2025 as that money trickles down. Plus, there’s no way that 1% will damage the planet to ensure they keep their money. And they can make generous donations to look amazing. I really need to work harder to join them

Part of a great thread and a very simply put reason why the govt needs to press ahead with its IBT changes. But it also highlights that far more effort needs to be put into simplifying the tax system to remove these things that drives avoidance and skews behaviours.
