This week we are in the lab with the 2nd cohort of our Grundlagen Archäologische Naturwissenschaften module. In a week-long block seminar students learn to extract collagen, interpret isotopes and basic notions in osteoarchaeology and skeletal anatomy. It's an intense 30hrs but I love it!

I just love it when the right paper shows up at the right time! We recently worked on a medieval skeleton with severe lythic lesions to the elbows. We were puzzled by the case until this paper popped up! I wonder if anyone else has seen similar lesions before but we'll definitely look into it 🦴
