Bet y'all will never guess where 99% of the emails came from in my spam folder. And no I won't read them. Gonna see how many I get before I delete them all 🤣 Hint: It's mostly desperate pleas for money for something in November based on the subject lines.

Tore apart an old IDE HDD and decided to finally use the Bambu Lab clock kit that came with my A1. Going to laser cut a wood frame for the clock face and probably 3d print a center insert/washer to replace the metal one.

Helped my FIL out re-tracking his skid loader today. One of the old tracks ripped and came off. Had to replace that one on a hill (which was sketchy af). The second one was much easier on flat ground and only took 40 min compared to 3.5hr. 😅

Beefed up the filtration capacity for our yellow belly. The old 407 couldn't keep up anymore. Hopefully a 925gal/hr filter keeps up 🤣 He also didn't seem to mind being picked up today. Had his head out and wasn't trying to bite me 🥰

Slowly been rebuilding my #homelab cluster on the new #Debian 13 + #CephFS setup. Just got done deploying #Dozzle to the swarm cluster + remote agents on my @unraid.net box and another remote Docker host. Decided this time around I'd make only 2 of the 3 nodes swarm managers.

So much for Docker Swarm HA.... replicas: 3... and all 3 are on the SAME NODE. Only found out because I am draining one of the nodes so I can start my k3s & openebs conversion.

Got my new Keychron M5 mouse today. It was extremely lightweight. At least for my taste. So now it has some hot glued mouse weights I stole from an old G502. #ergonomics

Good thing I have less than a few days left of work before vacation. Using Claude 4.5 Opus to help refactor deployment scripts kinda ate the last of my requests lol.

Sad day. My very first #Linode instance has been shut down for the last time. :( Just finished moving all the sites hosted on it to @cloudflare.social Pages so they are all serverless. One less thing to manage now.

Main tank is clean and redone. Need to wait for the water to warm up before he goes back in. Also need to redo his basking platform. Currently growing some water lettuce and duckweed so he doesn't immediately eat it all

Oh and yeah the top of the platform looks like a prison fence. Apparently one of the turtles now likes to try and climb out of her basking area... So now they all get "gator fencing" 😂 It's not at an angle but should do the job.

#turtle tax. Waiting on the water temp to return to "not freezing" before he goes back in. He's also the one who had pneumonia and almost had full on sepsis cause of it. 🙃 He's recovering nicely now.

Rebuilt a basking platform for one of the turtles today. He's got a nice covered area for hiding if he doesn't want to be in the water. Basically a penthouse suite now as @stefanmara.com puts it. 😂

Got to see the Blue Angels today! As well as some other aircraft. It's been 38 years since they were last in Central PA for a show. Getting sneak attacked by two super hornets is something you definitely need to experience in person.

Got the UNAS installed in the rack tonight. It just barely fits depth wise. Had to rewire all the power to an external PDU 😅 Don't crucify me too much on the aesthetics as this is a 'temporary' setup. This will all live in a nice 42u rack when I'm able to purchase a house.. eventually.. #homelab

Got my new UNAS-Pro in from Ubiquiti today. Got roughly 10hrs left on the storage sync. Going to wait till it's done before I transfer data to it. Unifi network mobile doesn't show the user set name but it's named Arp142 since it's gonna be a black hole for data storage 😅

On a side note. Going to the range tomorrow with a buddy. Finally got some ammo for the Mauser 98k. Shooting old war rifles is always fun! I couldn't imagine being a German soldier in WW2 and having a squad of US guys shooting at me with 30-06. Bit of a terrifying thought 😅

Prototyping is fun when you have a fast printer. Currently designing an adapter for my network rack that allows me to external mount my pdu to the side. The final part will snap into vertical slots on the upper and lower frame, extending backwards on the side where it will support a 1u pdu.

Took apart an APC pdu today to see how feasible it was to replace the power cord. Don't really want a 15ft cord hanging off my network rack... They use standard outlets without the mounting ears 😂 idky but it's extremely funny to me
