I discovered pydle.net recently and I've just been using the same solution for them all. I don't know any clever #Python tricks so I wonder what I could be doing instead.
A code snippet window with a dark blue background displaying a short Python program. The code uses nested loops to iterate through a string of numeric indices and map them to specific color names.
The complete code reads:
p=["white","yellow","green","black"]
c="0000001020310022211200220"
i=0
for x in range(5):
    for y in range(5):
        pydle(x, y, "", p[int(c[i])])
        i+=1

I hear people all over the place talk about how they feel about AI. Some seem to love the speed and productivity boost but then there are some that seem to cringe at what we are doing with it. I have this feeling that the future of software is more corporate and less pet projects for the fun of it.

I want it on the public record that I completed a task that has been on my todo for months.

Something that has taken me some time to properly understand is the idea to be comfortable with discomfort. I'm not the best, the smarted or fastest but I love computers and creating and working on software so I'm making 2026 my year of moving past my discomforts. #SoftwareIsHardAndImOkWithThat #CS

Random startup names challenge for the next 30 days. Day 1: Actual Software Solutions. ...wait, never mind. I think I'll come up with a different challenge idea, this one is ass.

I keep thinking about the differences between bookmarks and pinned tabs. The amount of bookmarks I have that I think I want to save and never use makes me think about how old the idea of bookmarks for the web is and if it is an out of date feature in browsers.

I don't know what I'm doing but I'm doing it anyway. My 2026 mentality.

A couple of months ago I was trying to find a better browser for my needs and after trying a few I chose @zen-browser.app . I have been using it for a while now and have determined that my fav. feature is a simple context menu button to replace a pinned URL with current URL.
Screenshot of context menu item that says, replace pinned url with current.

If you are a company making software products that allow people to configure the look and feel to how they like it, please don't then ship destructive updates that force me to fix the changes you made for whatever new feature you are trying to get users to start using. Ask and honor my choice. #Rant

Was about to check out the visual editor in Cursor but my computer did not like that and locked up. 🤣

🤔Are web apps on Linux common? #Linux #Omarchy #WebApps

Stefan @stefanmara.com · 08/10/2025
Omarchy feels great and I love that so many things just work. Having said that.. I don't really understand why so many apps are 'installed' as web apps. Discord being one of them. Discord as a web app is not a good experience, so as a sane person I just fixed that.

I've used multiple monitors for a long time but now I'm realizing that I've only stuck with using multiple monitors as a solution to problems with Windows. I'm now only using 1 monitor and I'm discovering the small nice parts of Linux that never clicked as a Windows user.

Day 2 of using Omarchy as my main OS. Coming from Windows, I only miss PowerToys, mostly the PowerToys Run since the flexibility it has is hard to replace. I would love to find something similar for Omarchy.

Made some big changes today. Deleted Windows and installed Omarchy. #Omarchy

Been reviewing a website for a business that has multiple clients and handle appointments and such and the first thing I notice is that all of the "Book now" type links don't do anything. This business is paying a lot for this website and basic things aren't even connected to anything. WTH!

Hello? Do you use #CSS grid? Ever wanted to have separators in between grid areas? Have you resorted to weird background gradient, box-shadow & more hackarounds to solve this? Then check out this gap decorations proposal blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/20...

Randomly came across this (see image). Why isn't this feature more common? This would be a useful option for Discord as an example. Small thing to add but for those that have a reason to turn hardware accel. off, this is pretty nice.

My keyboard died recently so I went looking for a replacement and landed on the Keychron Q5 HE. After using it for a few days and getting used to the US layout I figured I should test my typing speed. After a couple of tests, I find I'm pretty average with a score of 55wpm. Need to practice.
Screenshot from Monkeytype showing a test score of 55 words per minute.
