I don’t know why the Trump regime is going this. All they are doing is legitimizing such events for when the time comes to start prosecuting billionaires.

I said it in 2025, all this redistricting just is gonna water down safe Republican seats. And now the polling is showing it. Sometimes Trump acts like a Democratic mole.

House Republicans are bracing for catastrophe in once safe red seats
GOP internal polling revealed key House seats that Trump won comfortably in 2024 are now competitive.

Politico notes Mamdani listens to NYC DSA and may pivot if they push back on him. Well NYC DSA, where are you? Many of us in DSA have long been concerned with your chapter but ignored it since you won so many elections, but we can’t ignore this crap forever. It’s time to step up!

Mamdani has done so many important things, but he has capitulated far too much to this billionaire police commissioner. It’s ok to call out Mamdani for this disturbing behavior. I know we all still like him, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore this stuff. Hold elected officials accountable!

Mamdani’s approach to the NYPD is not what reform advocates expected
Public safety advocates are growing frustrated with the mayor’s hands-off approach to policing.

Florida ranks as the 47th safest state. It’s 19th in police per capita. A glaring reminder that large police forces and huge amounts of police spending doesn’t lead to safe places. Maybe we should ask what spending all that money on police gets us?

It’s rare the DSCC and I agree, but there talk of netting up to 240 seats is sound. Trump’s cratering and while Dems don’t look great, lefties are unseating so many establishment incumbents this cycle that voters see a new party worth voting for.

New Yorker dives into one former law student dealing with the ramifications of not being sorry enough for Charlie Kirk after his death. I don’t care what she did or didn’t say. The fact is, this kind of repression is common in our authoritarian police state. It’s a reminder we are not free.

Hey hey, they also own WaPo and maybe Vox now too. But I hear you and I know you don’t control the DSCC (but if you’re ever a Senator I’d nominate you for DSCC chair). I just want them to do just a few little ad buys for Angie.

I’m glad this is getting talked about more. People (ok maybe just liberals) have always felt a strong desire to defend higher education. I want higher ed to be great too, but people really need to come to terms with how broken, anti-democratic and capitalist these institutions have become.

I mean, we can blame oligarchs for all just siding with Trump and not donating but disapproval of the party is real and even some donors I’ve been in meetings with are upset with Schumer and the gang for not being more aggressive. It’s really crazy to see but you know I never mind chaos or drama.

That is an important thing. It’s not the only thing but it’s a big one. Now let’s see if he will also hold billionaires and the GOP accountable, work to help the American people, and will stop US support for war crimes. We need a candidate who meets those things while also not being a bigot.
